As of Friday, I finally own more than I owe. It's been just under 4 years to get to this point from being at one point negative £62,500.

It's not quite out of debt - I still have a couple of negative balances, offset by assets I can't or won't liquidate (house deposit fund, damage deposit on the flat, etc), but I'll be there by the end of the year. If you look closely at the graph, I'll also dip back in to the red this month. But since my affairs are a little complicated, it's the number I've been aiming for since I started, and on Friday, I got there. :j
It's been an emotional journey, from wondering how on earth I'd ever clear quite that much cash, to trying to pay for a wedding, etc. There have been ups and downs, including being told by my accountant that I owed £10,000 more than I thought, which hurt. I always used to get motivated by reading how other people had actually managed to get out of the hole, and maybe this will motivate someone else.
