Mystery Shopper expenses/fee question?

Hi

I was wondering if someone maybe able to help me?

I have my first MS tomorrow for a pub lunch, starter & main or main & sweet, on the front of the instruction it says for one or two adults.

Further in under expenses/fees it states: "a maximum of £XX to cover the purchase of food and drink. If you took others with you or exceeded the limit of £XX, then their costs will not be reinbursed. "

Am i right in thinking even if i come in under my £XX spending limit i will not be able to claim for my husbands meal??

Thanks

It sounds as if only yours will be reimbursed I think, because it says 'if you took others with you OR exceeded the limit', not 'AND exceeded the limit', if you see what I mean.

Still a cheap way of having a meal out though! Hope you enjoy it. :)

Thanks, thats what i thought. I have read somewhere on here of families of 4 being reimbursed so i think i just persumed you could spend the limit and anything else you paid for .. but obviously not!

    Thanks again.

I am quite excited as this is my first shop

it may depend on your MS company. My current favourite (Retail i's) pay what I claim, whether some of that amount was on a second meal/drink or not. (They've never paid more than the budgetted amount though, when my OH has his 3rd beer for eg, they have just paid to their maximum)
Enjoy a meal out anyway - I'd almost forgotten what it was like until I took up MSing 3 months ago, and now we do it almost weekly.:D

You can claim up to the amount £xxxxx. If you go over that amount it will be out of your own pocket.
I have done some of these jobs and I have been paid up to the amount but sometimes depending on which company it is, it is sometimes it is very tight.
    Hope this helps.
