Home Bargins snake venom (type) serum costs about £2.99 last about six weeks with everyday use, this product really tightens your skin (its temporary of course) and leaves it looking smooth and its perfect under make up.
I splashed out and bought the serum & wrinkle filler. Have tried both out this evening & am unsure of whether they have worked or not. Will try again in the morning when I can see in the daylight.
Also bought their face scrub from 99p shop. Seems nice. Leaves the skin feeling smooth. So far is doing what it says on the tube.
Might give the eye cream a try aswell.0 -

I have the eye cream and wasnt keen, its was fine but just didnt do much, I love the snake stuff and use it on its own under make up each morning and then under my night moisturiser as a serum in the evening, its takes a couple of weeks for best results, I swear its made my botox last longer too and I've tried loads of expensive and popular products and none compare to this. I'm not fan of topical wrinkle fillers but when I tried them I got the best result mixing them in with my foundation and then leaving to dry for a while, on their own they didnt make much difference and I tried a few of them.
My favourite facial scrub with no exception is good old St Ives apricot scrub, if you fancy a change try this, good luck with your new products:):happyloveThank you, thank you, thank you :happylove0 -
I've been using the snake serum for a couple of days. I smooth it all over the skin then I apply my day cream. Also use it on a night under my night cream too.
Haven't noticed any difference, however, as you say, it's a product that you have to use for a few weeks to see if it having any effect.
As for the wrinkle filler, I've been using that on to of my moisturisers. I just put it where I think I need it.
I will keep using it for a few weeks at least. Hopefully it works as it is very cheap so good value.
I can't mix it with foundation as I use a mineral powder foundation.
Have you noticed any other difference whilst using it?0 -

Well my make up stays put a bit more but for me the real difference has been the length of time my botox has lasted and my skin just looks more taut and glowing but without any extra grease, however, I still need a good moisturiser in the evening so I think it can be a bit drying, I really like the snake venom stuff, mineral powder can be mixed with a cream to make a liquid foundation but with the benefits of mineral powder if thats what agrees with you. I used to mix 70/30 in favour of foundation (liquid) and got good results from the wrinkle filler but not as good as from injectable filler,
I notice in your other thread (I was going to reply on that one but I'll do it here instead) that you would like to stop shine with/without make up have you tried a super light layer of milk of magnesia, used in a similar way to a primer? Might work for you, it certainly sorted out my oilys a while ago but its not a long term thing as it can be quite drying:):happyloveThank you, thank you, thank you :happylove0 -
I used to use liquid foundation, bb creams & tinted moisturizers. However, I was finding they were clogging up my pores, so was advised to use mineral powder foundation.
At the minute, I have stopped using the snake venom serum as I'm not sure whether it is causing me to get spots. Since using it a couple of days. Will try it again tho' just to see.
I have never had botox nor any other of the non-surgical procedures, so I couldn't say whether using the snake venom has prolonged the results.
As for the shine..it's strange because I don't have oily skin. However, it's not dry either. It could be made worse by using a moisturizer with an spf in it. I also can have major problems with blocked pores aswell. I have got very bizarre skin lol.0 -
Some great tips. I love Pound shops especially for good brand deodorant, shampoo and conditioner. I got a facewash that on closer inspection was L'Oreal for the Asian market. I have used it sparingly thinking it may be fake but it seems a good quality product, just not suiting my skin type. Ah well, you win some you lose some. It'll certainly do as hand wash/ camping. I've never found any decent make up, although I am conservative about colours.
Sudocrem which is nappy rash cream is good for sorting out spots. Is there a cheaper alternative?
I like Lacuna facial oil and the wrinkle cream shaped like shringe from Aldi. Also a mask I got from Aldi or Lidl. (I've run out again now.)
Rosehip oil is also great for scars and blemishs.
And the Mint Julep mask - cheap from Amazon, but sadly not when you add postage - is fantastic.0 -

Just as a point of interest the vast majority of problems with reactions to products are down to fragrance which is why most professional products are unscented.:happyloveThank you, thank you, thank you :happylove0 -
Aldi Conditioner - £1.99 for a Tresemme-style large bottle - it's really thick and creamy!
Savers "Flower shop" branded hand wash - costs £1 for 2 bottles with a reuse able pump. I have seen these in apple, orange and raspberry & orchid (the last one smells like a raspberry jubblee drink)“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. More and more MUA at Superdrug stuff is becoming staple for me. The £1 blushers are brilliant.0
