hi guys im not internet savvy, and no nothing about the csa, just paid my dues and accepted it no problems. After 10 years trying though i am due to have another baby in 2 months with my wife, and wondered what the score is, do i have to pay twice, do i pay less or more. My son is 12 this year born in 2001 i have no rights as not on birth cert, yet he comes to mine every week FRI-SUN plus holidays (basically every day im off work) and now i have another due soon. will be payments be affected in any way??

Have you informed the CSA that you have your son overnight as this reduces the amount you pay the parent with care. You can inform them once your new baby is born as your new baby will reduce your payments also.
I'm assuming that your wife is the mother of your impending new arrival and not your 12yo. You don't pay maintainence for a child if you live with that child's mum.
However I don't agree with the 12yo child losing out because you've decided to have another child. You decided to have another child not your son, so he shouldn't have to pay for it.
I do agree with a reduction for overnight stays as you have to feed your son and provide a warm home when he's in your care.
But if you are happy paying what your paying now towards your son, then don't rock the boat. Carry on as you are and enjoy your new arrival.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T

I am assuming you are on CSA1?
If you are, now that your son has reached 11 years old the 'Carer Element' will be reduced by 25% (approx £14pw) - on the 'Maintenance Required' assessment (check your old paperwork) but also your Salary probably increased lots in 10 years, your wifes' salary will be included and you may find your housing costs are now really lower to back then, unless you have upped your mortgage on a bigger home or maybe your mortgage free ~ depends on your situation.
If you just missed March 2003 it will be CSA2 and a much easier formulae to work out your assessment.0
