Using two clubcard bonus vouchers at once?

Options
Sorry in advance if I am in the wrong place!

Hi, in the last week whilst shopping at Tesco I have received two £7 off £50 spend Clubcard Bonus coupons, they both are valid but just have different expiry dates. On the voucher itself it states '£7 off £50 spend in single transaction' or something very similar. T&C's mention nothing about using in conjunction with another Clubcard bonus just that it can't be used with a helping hand voucher.

I though to ask the checkout assistant last night when picking up a couple of bits and he said 'No, you would need to spend £100 to use both as it says SINGLE TRANSACTION' (I think he's wrong, single transaction surely means you can't save £7 say on the second of two £25 shops).

Anyone had any luck with these? Would love them to work as it's quite a substantial saving!

The cashier is correct it must be used in 2 seperate £50+ transactions.

My point is that it doesn't say you can't use two at once though. A £50 single transaction would be spending £50 in one go rather than split over two or three shops, do you see what I mean?

I know what you mean. I once had an 02 top up voucher which said 100 extra points when you top up £20. I topped up on two phones £10 each and they said I didn't qualify as it should have been £20 on one phone. But I went to customer services and they added the points. It's worth trying customer services if it doesn't say they have to be used separately. God bless. Esther

I have certainly used a combination of one £4 off £40 and one £5 off £50 coupon / till spit voucher in the same weekly shop at Mr. T's. to give an overall saving of £9 on a shop exceeding £50.

If the coupons say £7.00 off a £50+ spend, the only way to use those together at one time, would be to buy over a £100.00 and put a divider on the conveyor belt - so there are in two £50.00+ sections - not an easy process to do.

Fortunately as you said there have different dates, so use one as soon as it's valid, and then the next on the last day it's valid.

If you try and use both, likely to return the second as you've already used one 'per transaction'.
Now if there were different source coupons e.g. one from a n'paper and one from a till you might be able to use both at the same time!
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard

Not hard either, OP just ask the cashier serving you to stop when it reaches £50. Instead of trying to guess where to put the divider.

Through the post a couple of weeks ago, I had a booklet of coupons from Mr T with various MOCs and bonus points ones as well. Used 11 of the coupons as everything on the coupons was on offer! For example 40p off any Oreo cookies and some were down to 49p - so 9p. One of the bonus points coupons was for 160 for buying any Finest wine. The coupon was not recognised and was told to ring Clubcard.

I phoned them up and they did not ask for the voucher number, receipt numbers or anything like that. I could have a voucher for a smaller amount of points and still ask for 160 points to be credited without battering an eyelid.

I know if you have a coupon with x off £40 through the voucher printer and in the post you have a y off £30 some cashiers will allow to use both providing you have spent £40. As a supervisor said they come from different sources.

Otherwise you are then have to spend £70. Rather have a happy customer than lose out
  • I normally shop online but like lots of others I recieved some vouchers ie £8 off £80.00 spend and £10 0ff £100.00 spend.
So decided to shop instore this week as dh wanted case for his new tablet so I knew this would bump up my shop.
Total bill was £109 so gave cashier a few odd coupons and then gave her the two vouchers she took off the £8 voucher and I said I thought the £10 one would have come off ,thinking she would take the £10 off and give me the £8 voucher back but no she swiped it and off it came ! So £18.00 of plus my other vouchers totaled £4.50 .
    Well pleased thanks tesco:j
