I also had a brilliant time at Glastonbury using my winning tickets from last month! I went with my partner & we've both always wanted to go. I saw some of my favourite bands - Smashing Pumpkins & Portishead and now have a new favourite - Of Monsters & Men.
The bad points: the mud (although it only lasted one day!), getting a bit sunburnt, kicked in the head by a crowdsurfer, sprayed down the leg by a warm mystery liquid ( which my partner tried his best to convince me was probably just warm beer but I'm not convinced as it was accompanied by someone saying 'Urgh, Johnson don't do that...that's disgusting!' :eek: ), getting a bit panicky when the crowd got rough (I'm a bit of a wimp!), the DISGUSTING poo smeared toilets and the dismay at the sight of the litter strewn everywhere ( I can't praise the Glastonbury staff enough for the excellent job they did at clearing it each day ).
I came home exhausted and achey but despite all the bad points it was AWESOME - the music, the colourful costumes, great food & so much to see & do and I'm so glad I got to experience it!
