My frien'd husband had serious debt from before maybe two years(£60000), but he doesn't want to get bancroupt and he says that it will be forgotten anyway after 7 years. They don't leave in England anymore. My friend is very worried and I would like if I can put her mind on rest. Is he right or he doesn't have clue what is he talking about. thanks.

Your friend is talking about Staute Barred. Where debt cannot be chased or collected after 6 years have passed since last contact was made or acknowledgement of the debt was made.
A lot depends on what debts they are and when he last had contact with the creditors. In any way, shape or form.
It's no life living scared of debt catching up with you so in my opinion, he should seek professional, independent, free help from one of these:
