Trainee HIPs Inspectors - Compensation

I very nearly signed up for the training myself and and very concerned about how trainee inspectors have been affected. Trainee Inspectors have paid out a considerable amount of money to get themselves a new career - many have got themselves into debt to do so.

I know several of the people affected, personally. Therefore, I have set up an e-petition asking the government to make some financial recompense to those affected. All I ask is that you read my petition. If you agree, please sign it. The web address of the petition is : http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/HIP-Help/.

They chose to sign up before the legal requirement for HIPs was established in an attempt to get ahead of the game. Their problem

It is most certainly their problem now. I am not speaking on my own behalf (remember, I was cautious and was waiting to see how things turned out - probably Martin's influence !). However, I know from my own experience that some training providers were hard selling their training and made the career prospects sound very appealing / relatively risk free. It is also worth bearing in mind that the jobcentres were actively promoting this as a new start for the unemployed. They almost certainly did have to borrow the money for the training on the trust that they would be able to earn it back, once they started working.

I can see that this will die a quiet death later in the year.
    I have a cunning plan!

It`s hard to feel sorry for someone, who will (maybe) at a later date, come round your property and rip you off for £300 for something that`s totally unnecessary.

The whole HIP`s thing is yet another invented tax by an already tax mad government.
There are already enough vultures getting their claws into the property market pickings, and getting a lot of money for very little effort.
I`m afraid these HIP`s inspectors are just another one in a long line who may feel they are going to do a great job but are not really needed.
Anyone can tick a few boxes saying if you`ve got central heating, double glazing, loft insulation, etc.
    It`s not rocket science!

Doctors take on student loans, course fees etc, teachers the same and nurses, solicitors, accountants etc etc.
None of them get a guaranteed job at the end of it (though obviously it helps their job prospects) so why should HIP inspectors? - can see them know with clipboard and peak cap - ugh.

Sorry, but more fool them for believing the current pile of ***** masquerading as a government. There is a long and growing list of people who've been stuffed, and many thousands killed, but as long as it doesn't affect you personally just stick your X in the "right" box eh..?

As you might have guessed, this would be a LONG way down my list of petitions worth signing.

As of now 13-0 is fairly conclusive I think that OP has got it wrong.
