Hi , ive not posted on here in a long time, but we have had an ongoing saga for the past few years, with my husbands ex partner.
We have recently found out that , yet again, step daughter has been kicked off the course, in january, of this year, this is the third time in three years, shes been kicked off.
So, firstly, is she committing fraud, the ex that is, as she is claiming ctc, wtc, cb, and of course csa, and can we claim it back.
Thank you in advance

No,you can't ...The only criteria the CSA are concerned with is if the pwc is claiming Child Benefit. The CSA told us the only interest to them is if the pwc is claiming this -they only have to act with in the law that says if she's doing this (albeit fraudulently !)child support must be paid to her. They are not interested in doing anything about it but said you can call them & say she shouldn't be... but it takes months for them to act on this & do anything about it.0

thank you cally, problem is weve been here before,,, we paid her mum for three months before the payments stopped, the child was living with us at the time, so we paid twice!!! Its gut wrenching knowing people can play the system and get away with it.
My "thing" is, shes been kicked out since january,, weve paid , not missed a payment , and given the sd extras for attending college!!!! more fool us!, money for trips , materials etc.
Ive just read on another forum, she maybe entitled to her cb till august as she has missed mays cut off point,,,, would this be right, or would it get stopped from them being informed. We have told the ex she has till friday to stop the claim herself of we will be doing it for her.0 -
The CSA wont take any notice we did this in February & are still having the monthly amount taken off us.We have 2 girls to pay for neither of which are attending their courses -we think their Mum will talk them into signing up for another course in September! She must do it but you wont know till CSA tell you .There is a 20 week run-on possibly that I've heard of.It is annoying that ,if you live nowhere near the pwc ,the nrp seems to be the last to know ..surely in this day & age it should be able to cross reference the college attendance details & CSA. They don't seem to want to make it that easy !!0
