I went mystery shopping had a cracking lunch in the welsh sunshine and on the way home popped into Tescos. I used a £1.99 esquire voucher and a £2.70 harper voucher. The harpers one would not scan so she input the code. I did offer her 2 harpers vouchers but she would only scan one so will use one another time

I have been using 2 x Harpers and 2 x Esquire everyday since Wednesday Sometimes the Harpers has scanned ok, other times they have manually inputted it.

You Shouldn't have any trouble using newspaper vouchers in Tesco as long as the barcodes start with 99.. however some Tesco's have different voucher policies to others. Mine will usually take 5 different vouchers without having bought the items, plus any Tescos own vouchers if you have bought the items. Hope this helps.So your answer don’t be scared of failure

Tried 4 of the mocs from weds today - 2 Harpers , neither would scan and nor would the Glamour one, but the Esquire one was fine. However, decided against buying the Times today, as I bought a pile on weds, and looks as tho it will not work for me. Especially as my local T has a 'new policy' (Yawn!) - one of my fave happy scanners said they have been told only to accept mocs if the item has been bought. This was when I tried to use the weds mocs yesterday. So went to a different store today for my shopping - happy to take mocs.0
