How to do the big reveal?

Hi everyone
I'm getting civil partnershipped in August and the honeymoon has been my responsibility to book. As it stands my wtb still doesn't know where we're going and has said maybe I could tell her on the wedding day. The thing is we're not (as it stands at the mo) having a first dance as such as it isn't really us but we don't really have anything to 'kick off' the evening do so I was thinking I could do a reveal of the honeymoon location but I'm a bit stumped for ideas of how to make it special so I welcome any suggestions!

How about a sort of travel brochure, put together in a photo slide show? Sort of "Wish You Were Here - and BTW, we will be!"?0

For my 21st one of my ex's took me to New York he told me that's where we were going but wouldn't tell me the hotel or anything until we had to fill out the forms at check in.
Turned out he had booked the Hilton on Times Square that's why he wanted it as a surprise
Maybe you could do an invite for her or a mock plane ticket for her to open but no further details.First Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
What a romantic idea
How about setting up clues for her and the guests to guess?
Or arrange for your guests to have cards with letters of the name of the country/place on and they flip the cards over one by one or all at the same time? I think something that involves the guests too would be nice to kick off the evening!GC2012: Nov £130.52/£125

At a wedding I went to once, the couple put up a big map of the world, and during the reception each guest got a pin with their name attached and they could stick it in the map where they thought the honeymoon would be. Then during the evening (after the cake cutting I think but you could do it at any point) they did a big reveal, and the guest who was closest won a little prize
I thought it was a really nice way to get the guests involved and was a real talking point during the evening too.0 -

That would be a fab idea but unfortunately quite a few of the guests know the location as I had to talk to someone about it!
I've been winding her up that we're going to Torquay to The Grosvenor so was thinking it'd be immense to have Mark Jenkins there to present her with it but alas I doubt the budget could stretch to a public appearance of a class Z celeb!

This might be a terrible idea but how about in place of your first dance an amateur dance group doing the national dance of the country you're visiting?0

What about wrapping some presents that when put together are clues for the destination and she has to open them and guess. For Xmas one year I bought my OH a trip to Morocco, so I got a copy of more magazine, a rock and a wooden letter O, took him ages to guess!!0

what about boxes that she can't see inside, with clues inside she has to feel with her hands (a bit like a lucky dip box crossed with i'm a celebrity)0

I like the idea of the map and your guests have guesses. Gets everyone involved and is a bit of fun and then you reveal all and a little prize, plus satisfaction, for the winner! Just don't tell anyone lol!Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0
