    The comment about living with parents made me smile - a certain young woman of my acquaintance (aged nearly 27) who was living (happily) with her parents, had the opportunity of a very low rate rate fixed for the duration mortgage and decided to take advantage and buy a flat.

    Her dear old dad was outraged and said they knew what to think in Ireland about young girls(!) who left their loving parents to go and live in flats.... I am assuming he thought she'd be tempted into unspeakable adventures.:eek:

    With regard to the OP's son, in his position I would start a PP and consider a transfer into the employer's scheme in due course if it was to my advantage so to do.
