    why is that?

    Because some PDLs will raid any account that they have details of to get their money. I don't know about Wonga, but some are none too scrupulous.
    I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

    I really hope she does learn, but Im not sure what I can do to help her learn from this mistake.

    Why was she short ?
    Had she just no money as she had spent it all ?
    Or was it a 1 off.

    Maybe explain about budgeting, not wanting to tel you how to be a parent so dont take it that way.

    If you have tried this already then not sure what else you can try.

    They will raid your account at will (possibly ignoring any agreed payment plan) and will keep your card details on file and raid it again if your daughter makes the mistake of taking another loan and defaulting.

    Do not give them any of your card details.

    we are trying to but we only met her a few months ago
