Bank account for easier mortgage application

Hi guys. Just a quick question..... Would my future application for a mortgage be helped by running a current account with the bank/BS that provides the mortgage? I was given ED back in June 2010 and want to apply for a mortgage just after the BR falls off my credit files in a couple of years time hence the question. Is…

Well in that case, I think I will stick with my current bank then as having a long standing current account is a good thing aparently.
Don't want to switch just for the very slight chance of it being a good thing...
