    Actually it's a P46, and seems to be filed electronically these days, so the employer may have already collected all the information he needs from cebs.

    I think that you mean a P46; though they do not seem to be used these days, been replaced by a Starter Checklist.

    I got my pay slip today. On it was also the tax code.
    You don't have to sign a contract. But your employer does have to give you written particulars of your employment within two months of your starting work. Forget about "in training", it doesn't change things in relation to the right to written particulars. Those will also include information about paid holidays.
    My employer said he will let me know about the documents I have to sign.

    My employer printed me a P46 form to give back to him, guess both are OK.
