Yes, you owe, so you will have to pay what is owed, sticking head inthe sand does not work, Although you maybe through with the past, the past may not be through with you0

So the answer to the question above is ???
Please be aware I'm not afraid of paying - that's my responsibility however I'm afraid how its going to be accessed - can they back date a nil assessment for example ?? On which system ??0 -
If the case has never been closed, then it will still on on the old system...
It maybe worth trying to get your affairs in order, bank statements going back as far as you can etc, if they can reassess you, then on the old system, mortgage/rent etc will be involved, so that is important, but by the same token, so will your current partners income...
Think you are asking an open ended question as to WHAT NEXT though, as no one but the person dealing with the case will know...
I wouldn't avoid it though, ignoring the calls etc may make things worse...
Just out of interest, was it a mobile or house phone they called on...???
And have you had any contact with the child/ren at all....???0 -

so for a good number of years you haven't paid any maintenance but now recognise that it's your responsibility to do so? Very big of you!
there is always a back story, I know that. But please be prepared for a very large bill that you are going to have to pay - and if you have a read around the threads on this forum, you will soon see that it can get very difficult when money is owed to the CSA. You will do well to organise yourself as quickly as possible, co-operate, and make a sensible offer to pay off what you owe in as short a period as possible.
And seriously, what is it with these women who are happy to stand by men who don't support their children? Way, way too many of them out there...0 -

yeah, well, you posted on a public forum so that's kind of what happens. And you know nothing at all of my situation to be able to judge me 'bitter'. Bit 'pot - kettle - black', don't you think?!
You have failed to support your child - knowingly - for years. It will always catch up with you. I wish more NRPs would read about situations like this and realise what happens. Because sooner or later it happens.0 -

I agree, they will get you. I paid all my money and have finished. My sisters ex paid nothing but was forced to sell his dead parents home and give her a cheque for £52,000 for 16 years of avoiding payment. Its not a joke, she actually has the money.
You can run but you cant hide!!0 -

Obviously the OP didn't want to hear the brutal truth:A I did happen to read his now conveniently deleted postings early this morn.
As for 'these women' as you put it, well, let's quote some wonderful literature..it involves wine, which is apt, methinks...
“The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.”
Wait until it happens to them.
But I guess I'm just another bitter and twisted person here:rotfl:
The' big' man is scared. Wot a shame. I don't think he will be back.
4 years of arrears, wasn't it, until he 'achieved' a nil assessment? Well done Him.0
