Employer subsidy grants?

Does such a thing exist in the UK mainland? I know my employer will only higher unemployed for this reason, It also explains why in my last couple of interviews the employers weren't really interested after I explained I already have a job, and the thread I posted recently about 500 applicants for 1 job you can guess who go it.. yep someone unemployed who oddly didn't want it so someone else unemployed got it.
Could such a scheme make it harder for folk like me trying to switch jobs or am I thinking to much into all this? Certainly explains why I've never been able to switch job but was never unemployed for longer than 3-4 months.

Haven't you asked this one time before. No one pays anything for a company to take on someone out of work. We've had it for years, Its actually something like £100 per week for a full time min wage job. We’ve had to remove your signature. I don't get the logic either, today had a turndown for basic Telesales, think I want to cry, not to mention having to take full day of work (all because of being the most awkward time of day) to attend an interview for a permanent position which lasted a few minutes, could tell instantly how serious they might be, grrr, they just said about my temporary role well least it got me out of the house! no it doesn't pay my wages really for the next 8 weeks
I can't believe I've got to wait to be unemployed before I get work again,
Maybe when your employed there is this over confident errora you can come over less needy which scares the employer off? I've no idea!
I think I'm in your camp falko!0 -

Interesting, a similar sort of idea. Its not limited to 18-24 year olds over here though, well certain parts aren't which makes an unemployed person a more attractive option than someone currently employed.0 -
