  • Just reading back through my posts and I wanted to update my previous "to do" list...

I have actually completed my last ever self employed tax return and they have sent me my rebate already :)

I have also sent up to date metre readings so am only paying for what I'm actually using.

Ticking those things off my list feels great! It's the small things eh?!

  • So my little envelope app is all updated after payday yesterday and I'm enjoying seeing the energy bars all at their fullest! Had a little MSE victory against the previous energy supplier to the flat and got 12.76 off the bill they sent me...long story and I won't go into it but they are a nightmare and kept insisting I owed them money even though they had sent me a final bill saying £00.00!!! Anyway - it's all hopefully over now.

I have bought myself lunch only once this week, with one pre planned meal out on Wednesday eve. In tonight for home cooked dinner - no takeaways for me thank you!

Will be away for a few days next week and again everything pre paid so hopefully a good money saving week next week - keeping food and utility bills down.

Have a great weekend everyone and keep your purses at home!! x
  • So I LOVE my budgeting app! It is really making me think about everything I spend on. On Saturday I had an eye appointment and needed to pick up a few things for a friend's child's birthday, holiday etc. Each time I bought something, BEFORE I went into the next shop I recorded the spend. It really showed me how quickly it can all disappear!

Yesterday was a NSD which felt great and I was very productive getting the flat a bit more in order since ex OH moved out. It's generally always quite tidy but I have acquired a lot more space recently now all his stuff isn't there and I spent time yesterday moving my bits and reorganising draws. It means that it doesn't look quite so sad when I open a draw and it's half empty but also I have loads more space! I love it!

Today I have spent £1.20 on pop and £5 at the post office posting my friend's birthday pressie. Expensive but not too bad considering the gift and postage combined cost under £10. Lunch was from home and dinner shall be from stores and I've got enough petrol in the car too...

    Then it's holidays :)

    Yipeeee!
