Hey everyone! Well that's us back home from an amazing week away. Husband off to work this morning so I've been chilling before thinking about unpacking and doing everything else that I need to start doing now, changing the name and such like!

We had an absolutely amazing time. We walked into the hotel on Monday evening and the owner, a good friend, announces they are having a surprise party for us on Wednesday night. Erm....bit really a surprise then eh?!

Tuesday we had to meet with the officials at 9am who decided when we got there it was too early and they were going for coffee, so we did too! Went through all the papers, saw the hairdresser, decided in where to take everyone for food (since our fave place was closed on Thursday) and went to see the photographer. There was a lot of whispering and chartinggng on so we knew there was plans that we weren't getting into....

Wednesday I had a makeup trial before we took friends off up into the mountains for the day. I didn't get my massage as the girl no longer works at the hotel I did get chill out time in the sauna and jacuzzi though before the party at night. Food and drink beyond belief an I got an 'advice for the bride to be' tshirt and DH got a ball and chain! Called it a night just before midnight and left everyone else to it and we went to open the cards we had taken with us.

Thursday so arrived and I as up at 0630. Even with 3 of us to get hair done and 4 for makeup I didn't feel rushed, stressed or nervous. DH was getting taken down by a witness at 1015 but her makeup didn't finish until 1045. Did I care? No, we were on Italian time!!

We left in the car and headed downtown when I was transferred to the back of the cart. It was amazing, the well wishes of locals and people running up the street to take pictures. I only knew I'd arrived when I heard clapping and cheering. It was amazing. People had come out of the shops and practically brought the town to a stop!

A lovely little service followed, I can only remember seeing one person there as she stood up as I walked in and everyone else followed, I don't know who else s actually there! After the wedding it was ontk the balcony for picture, outside for a guard of honour....and rice, I was finding it EVERYWHERE!!! Up the street in the cart to be parked under a canopy at a bar for drinks and a minute to send pics to parents, then off to thrice rink for pics on ice before up to a mountain field with wild flowers. Amazing.

The day didn't end there, we were given a cake, we played curling, we're given gifts, and the band they had put on at night were given the words to Wonderwall in the afternoon and at 11pm sang it word perfect for us so we had our first dance too!

A amazing day from start to finish, I'd do it all again in a heartbeat!

Here's a link to some of the 1500 photos that our photographer took, it's going to take a while to get through them all when the drive arrives!

Enjoy!

Thanks all. We really did have a great time that was fun, without stress, and everything we wanted it to be. The only time I really felt nervous was at our meeting on the Tuesday when I started shaking and filling up, but when we were out from it I was fine again!
Them on Thursday during the ceremony when we had to sign it wasn't our usual signatures but our full names, including middle names. My hand was shaking so much I could hardly write! And I had to do it twice!

Headabovewater.....it is going to be exceptionally difficult to do an album, we already have a lot of pics from friends as we had a laptop with us to download onto, we also have 297 taken on one of our own cameras and I don't know how many on the other! Might have to do an official and an unofficial album! One of the best pics of the day was us posing at the tree and one of the witnesses trying to walk away after sorting my dress and she only has one foot on the ground with both arms and one leg in the air, it's priceless!!!

It was everything we wanted it to be, and more.....although it hasn't escaped the hassles that we thought we would get beforehand which waited until after instead. Those that claim they love us most and should be happy for us are the ones doing the most complaining. Oh well, rise above them!!!

Congrats..those photos are FAB and your looking pretty good too ! :)
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
