I also came across A Taste for Killing by Jon Zackon on the free offers on Kindle today. Looks like an excellent crime thriller set in South Africa - good for fans of Halan Coben or Linwood Barclay.
South Africa.1961.
Danny is a young and idealistic newspaper reporter when he clashes with the corrupt detective Koos van Blatter.
Van Blatter is determined to take his revenge.
And Danny is forced to flee the country.
But he leaves behind the woman he loves, alone and vulnerable.
Will she be the detective’s next victim?
South Africa. 1996.
Apartheid has fallen and the country is transformed.
35 years after he fled, Danny is determined to seek justice at last. And discover the truth about the woman he once loved.
Travelling across the bleak South African veldt, the prey becomes the hunter.
And a crime is about to be avenged.
But once a man acquires 'A Taste For Killing' it may never leave him.
'A Taste for Killing' is a gripping crime thriller that takes the reader into the brutal heart of South Africa’s apartheid regime and the system that turned many police officers into ruthless killers.
'A chilling insight into the mean street
