Is anyone else fed up of only winning little rubbish things? lol. I've been comping since November and my highest value thing is still £150, for the Guinness fridge and cans, or for the Harmony Home Control thing. People seem to be winning cash, Wiis and hols left right and centre at the mo... It makes me feel like giving up tbh. I just don't think I'm very lucky...

Lol, yeah I seem to have lots of small wins, hardly any biggies, just waiting for the trip of a lifetime, a big wad of cash, a car or lifetime supply of chocolate!Weight Loss - 102lb0

NooooOOOOOoooo don't give up. Look at your comping total...yes it might not be the amazing prizes we all dream of but its better than nothing?!!
Plus if you aren't in it you simply won't win it. So chins up and get entering your details on the next trip, there's only so many people on this board and i becoming more motivated than disheartened as more people win holidays and games consoles because one day will be our turn:)
Some people have yet to win anything, but everyone on here enters on exactly the same level and yes people have been lucky but honest hold on, it will be your turn soon

If you think you're beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It is almost certain you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellows will–
It's all in a state of mind.
If you think you're outclassed, you are.
You've got to think high to rise,
You've also got to be sure of yourself,
Before you'll win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But sooner or later, the one who wins
Is the one who thinks he can!0 -
Any win is better than no win, someone will always be able to make use of it, even if you just give it away to a charity shop.
Just keep trying, I know I am......but if you dont that means more chance for the rest of us (tried to put a cheeky smilely in here, but no joy).
Its always good to have a whinge. I too need another win......

I admit to being a tinsy bit jealous of the big wins, but am sure our turns will come soon enough. Besides, I am glad that someone from MSE is winning it than anyone else
It does make me happy to see som many people winning and it does encourage me to keep going. 0 -
Awww hun, it does seem unfair. Especially when big contributers to the forum like yourself, Fluffynit and kipper seem to be winning less than a lot of other people.
Don't give up, because that's often when the wins come. I don't know the formula for lots of wins, but keeping comping helps. I had a farily quiet month in April and I am still waiting (with increasing frustration) for the best prize I won then which was a £100 ebookers vouchers. That sounds great, but not much use if it never comes.
I have to say my favourite win this year remains the animal adoption pack. It was only worth £25 - a lot less than many others- but I really love animals so its my favourite. I will keep this going after the prize runs out.The second most enjoyable was tickets to a local concert for a band I had never heard before. My France win has given me ongoing headaches and it now looks like my injury will mean I can't take it in the time period. So biggest isn't always best.
Anyway, you can't give up because the friendships are worth more than the comping.0 -
I’ve been entering these comps for nearly a year
No wins at all, but I’ll persevere

Ive been entering competions for about 3 months and still havent won a thing:rotfl: Ive entered loads but still nothing. I look at it this way. It doesnt cost me anything to enter and if i do win something one day (hopefully soon) it will have all been worth it:rotfl:
I am abit jealous aswell of the people who win big prizes like holidays away but then i think well they had the same chance as me and i am happy for them.
Our time will come of that i am sure and alot of people have said that they win just when they are ready to give up so maybe its a sign for you.
I think whats the point in entering i never win then i see all the people on here who have won and think well sooner or later i will have to win something.
£150 fridge is good:T Keep going and more prizes will come your way;)Offical MSE Fantasy League Member:beer:0 -
Do you think it makes a difference to your chances if you choose not to let the company and/or 3rd parties contact you?
I always opt out of these things and I wonder if it reduces my chances of winning?
I've entered almost everything on here for the past month or so, but haven't won anything yet.Wins to date:
Jul 2007: Nintendo DS Lite, Gardening Tools, Bananarama CD, 2 x Women's Open Golf Tickets (worth £50 each)
Aug 2007: Shrek backpack,Tick remover, Firehouse Dog goodies
Sep 2007: Box of Wispas
Oct 2007: £5 Amazon voucher0
