DH did the shopping this week, to include stuff he needed for his diet for the remainder of the week before he left. In typical fashion he didn't think about how much he actually needed and just bought loads of his 'basics'. I'm now left with 2 heads of broccoli, massive bag of spinach, loads of peppers and a large bag of French beans! Not even the cheap veg!!

Hello Knit Witch, been a while. Got anything good on the needles at the mo? Funny you should say veg curry, as I did make a red curry concoction yesterday and stuck 2 portions in the freezer!

In other news, I heard today that I've been awarded a pay rise-yay!! So, November pay should include back pay from September. Sadly this will now go to topping u the emergency fund rather than anything more exciting but it will mean a few extra quid to the house fund and a bit extra on the maternity pay too.
The boy is in bed already. I shall be joining soon...

Knitting a sweater at the moment - I think I should have started a little earlier though :rotfl:

Unless you knit a lot faster than me, that'll be ready for next winter! Although in fairness it's usually the sewing up and blocking that holds me up rather than the speed of actual knitting!!

Smart meters fitted today. Not certain they were a great idea but I wanted off the E7 meter so I guess it's all good. Did a meal plan and shopped for the week for £35! That's not bought all of DHs diet stuff but will keep my slow cooker and freezer topped up for the week. Cleaner came today, only one week of that left then I can start squirrelling her pay away too

Been laid up with a horrendous cold the last couple days. Thankfully my wonderful parents were able to stay down and help with DS until DH landed back yesterday. Got suckered into another book people purchase as they had a set of DS (my!) favourite books in the latest magazine. Did manage to get mum to buy some to top up my order to get free postage and then 20% off offer that day too so not too bad but I really must stop looking. Plan is to start taking DS to rhyme time at the library each week once cleaner has finished. Should mean he gets plenty of access to books, a free music activity (his favourite) and I can fit in a fruit and veg shop at the market, which is usually cheaper than the supermarket and makes me feel good to support local traders too.
Joint account looking healthy this month and my account is surviving after last months mega CC bill. Sadly next month CC looking about the same so will be another tight one but if I can get through it then savings will be looking better too.

Up at stupid o'clock today for no good reason. The boy woke me at 330 and just couldn't get back to sleep so I thought I'd just lie there and rest but indigestion kept biting every time I moved-definitely the worst part of pregnancy for me! So I'm up and making my breakfast.

Not going to work today as still got no voice, although I do feel a bit less ill today. Plan is to take it easy and sort out my meal planner and my online mortgage login stuff, so food and finances

Still not got into the online banking for mortgage. Can't remember my memorable information :rotfl: going to reset that now

Cleaning company have been terrible about cancelling, shouldve charged me £18 less £6 owed for a holiday but took the whole £26. Emailed straight away and they agreed to refund for the holiday but made no mention of the over charge- in 8-10 days. 8-10 days have passed and I've got nothing back at all so I've called the bank and invoked the DD guarantee to get the whole lot back. I will then email the cleaning company to offer to pay back what is owed via a one-off bank transfer- in 8-10 working days :rotfl:

Also phoned up to cancel NCT membership, so that's &12/quarter saves too
