No bank account - mortgage chances?

Hello

I want to apply for a 95% mortgage but all my credit files do not show my bank account because I opened it in 2001.

Will this harm my chances of getting a mortgage? Should I open another bank account so that one will show up on my credit file?

My Equifax score is currently showing as 'poor' but I think this is because of (1) bank account issue (2) I have just moved house and thus on electoral roll for less than a year (but on there nonetheless) and (3) various other minor information is out of date (and I am chasing to update before application).

Any advice?|

Thanks

If its poor I'd get experience and call credit files too first. If they are all similar I'd work on improving them before applying!

What is showing on your credit file to give a poor score?

Scores mean little to a lender but the fact it shows as poor would indicate some problems.

What is the bank account issue exactly?

What is the 'various other minor information'?

95% mortgages require squeaky clean history and criteria to be 100% met. With issues it is highly unlikely

Have you ever considered retaining (i.e paying for) a mortgage adviser for detailed responses (based on near to no information) within 8 minutes of your initial question ??
