Food for an afternoon wedding

We're doing just under 100 people for an afternoon wedding, and only feeding them once- around 5.30- around people's usual dinner time.

Another option is to serve the wedding cake later, at around 8/9pm. You can always serve it with tea/coffee and cream/strawberries if you want to bulk it up.

A Sunday teatime wedding sounds lovely! and the pluspoint of having a non-Saturday wedding is that many of the not-so-close friends & relatives just won't be able to make it

We are marrying at 15:00. Main wedding breakfast is 3-course dinner (mains are fish/roast chicken/veg tart/lentil stew) with bacon/sausage/fish finger sandwiches for buffet at the evening 'do' around 9pm.
