We had the valuation done today, just received a text and email saying that the valuation was fine and a second one saying the formal offer has been made and put in the post today
can't complain at that at all! Taken 3 weeks to the day from our AIP application to formal offer!

That is fantastic news! Congratulations!
Did you get a survey done? If so, did you get it through Nationwide or did you do it separately. I have seen a few people that have said get it done separately as Nationwide have a big backlog.
Thanks and congrats again0 -
We went thru nationwide, they only took 3/4 working days to do it but I think it all depends where in the country you are! We are having a seperate home buyers report done tommorow night too0

We are in Surrey...
I think we want a full structural survey as the house is a few years old!
Great to hear that yours went through so quickly and efficiently, just now need to keep my fingers crossed that our meeting goes well tomorrow!
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
This story is music to my ears! We have a Save to Buy account that we have been putting money into- it is now, after 2.5 years at 11k
In jan 2008 our business folded and we both went bankrupt. Since then we both have good jobs with a combined salary of 79k.
Our credit scores are both fair and we each owe about 2k on credit cards. Wewill be past 6 years in Jan and will have paid off the cc's & saved about another 5k
Ive been hanging on for Jan (& dont want a new build)- do you thinj my plan will work out..?
Is there anyway of moving quicker?
The house we want is on at 250000

Hi all,
Quick update from me- we got an AIP today after a meeting with the mortgage advisor. We are finishing the application tomorrow (we had to go away and find out the age of the house) and paying the product fee.
Part of me wants to think that we would only be refused a mortgage now due to a problem with the house or our documents not matching what we have said. Is that right? Or are there further credit checks which could cause an issue on our side?
Thanks
RA0
