I gave the Pirates tickets away on Loquax to someone in Manchester.

I have been very lucky so far and I just want to say a general thanks to everyone that makes up the comping section of MSE.

ok can i ask where on earth do people enter so many comps to win so much? id love to get into winning comps - but all i ever win is CDs with songpeople

For reference I have entered a lot of competitions, I would say close to 1,500 or more. Though I don't go for absolutely everything, it would be disappointing to open a 'congratulations' email and then find out it's just a worm grooming kit.

The only other thing I can suggest is to check you've ticked/sent the right answer. I'm not being patronising, I'm very careful and yet I've sent a couple of blank e-mails before. :doh: There's a thread on Loquax forums about such occurrences:

'Littleboot': I recently ran a competition and I know for a fact that the entrants were...by a vast majority....compers. Yet about 30% of the entries were incorrect and so dissqualified. For instance, quite a few people had made a guess at an answer to the question...despite being told (if they had bothered to read the page!) that the answer was on the web-site.
