Credit Rating/Employment Questions

Hi,

I work for a bank and have 3 defaults on my credit repot- all cleared about 18 months ago.

The opportunity for another job in bankign has arose but I have been told that a credit check will be performed- does this mean I won;t be eligible for the job- or are they looking for CCJ's and bankruptcy?

Please help - I don;t want to accept the offer or hand in my notice in my current job until i know if this will effect me- as I could end up with no job!!

Thanks

All I can suggest is to make an anonymous call to the HR department at the bank you're applying to - don't know the answer, sorry!

If this is any help, my OH got a job with a mortgage broker (not as a mortgage broker) but needed to go through the same checks. He has a default and he passed the credit check.

I think it is just CCJ's and bankruptcys they look for. However, he got the job through a recruitment agency and they did the credit check. Might it be worth you ringing a recruitment agency up who deal with these kind of jobs and asking them.

i would be interested to know the answer actually as I want to train as a mortgage broker but i have four defaults!
