I borrowed this from the library and after reading it I thought that others might find it interesting. It combines thriftiness with being green.
It is by Caroline Harris.

Morning, just been looking and found it not to be on kindle.
I have stopped buying books as I find they clutter my home. The library is a good FREE idea but then I find you have to take them back, watch dates and the weight of the books to carry.
I think I am too fussy!
I like my kindle and download the FREE books. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
I love free books on my Kindle and I can also access e books from the library for free too. I agree that Kindles and the like are a lot lighter to carry around!
I enjoy using the local library which is open two afternoons a week.
I order books on line which cost 25p. I have no objection to this as it helps to keep the library open.
The library notifies me by email when books are ready for collection and also emails me a few days before they are due for return which helps avoid overdue fees.
I can access my account on line and renew books if I need to.
Often I order books to see what they are like before buying them.0 -
Thank you for sharing.
I will try to reserve a copy at my library and I agree, the library is ideal for trying before you buy. There's many a book that I would be lumbered with if I hadn't checked it out at the library. All to often books are not as good as what I hope they are going to be. 0 -
Thanks for this - I've managed to reserve from my library - the first time it's let me do it online without the library system going FUBAR!
