Ok so not really all that MSE BUT! a massive change for me! i've really looked into getting the best deal I could rather than just going for what was easiest

I needed a new phone, I wanted an Iphone as I use my old one all the time so...I contacted O2 and go upgraded to a new iphone5... but I got a £10 credit, 30% student discount off the line rental and £112 for my old phone which I asked them to credit to my account..which means I wont pay a bill until October and then I'm only paying £1.95 extra for a new phone.. :)

GO ME!... really MSE would have been not to get a smart phone but.. I use whatsapp to talk to my friends which is free and I live by the O2 and student discount apps.. not to mention my music and 1 GB of internet. baby steps right?

Then I brought my lunch in today so my only expenditure has been parking at the station (i was late because I baked some bread for lunch today).. in hindsight parking was £4.50... loaf from the supermarket £1.50... so not quite got the hang of this MSE malarky but I am trying! :o:rotfl:

Tonight I am going to make a salad to see me through the 2 days at work and will have soup with my fresh bread

I was sent some vouchers from Mr T this weekend so TC has cat food for 16 days as it was on discount to.. so I think I can definately keep my food shop down - I want to be able to spend a max of £10 a week (inc household stuff)

I want to have a look at how to save potatoes this week

I have a big bag that my mum gave me I thought I could mash some and freeze it I want to see what other people have done - i guess I could roast and freeze no problem...wonder if I could cook a jacket and then freeze that? i will have to have a nose through the recipe threads

I've decided bake day will be Wednesday this week I may even have a go at a cottage pie and freeze it in portions.

I have absolutely nothing planned this week so I reckon I can have a low spend week...I haven't been THAT MSE and I still have £40 in the bank account to last me to Thursday. :T
