For all you brides/brides to be out there, did any of you have/or are any of you carrying a bag with you for all your little bits and bobs etc?
Just curious that's all, as I will be having one, just a tiny little ivory clasp bag with a silver chain. I love my bags, and am very rarely without one.
Obviously I won't be needing my everyday bits and bobs, it'll just be stuff like a pack of tissues, maybe a mirror, lipstick for touch ups, I like to have my inhaler on me, I get panicky if I don't
I was thinking of giving it to my Mam to carry (poor Mam, she always gets dumped with all the bags etc!), although at one wedding recently the bride carried one herself.
Like I say, just curious!

Yeah I had one. In my MOH and CB's goodybags the night before I had bought them matching ones too.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0

Did you carry it when you got married, or give it to someone else to hold?0

I had a tiny, antique beaded bag on a short chain which I carried throughout our wedding, just slipped over my wrist.
Contents? 10 B&H, lighter, handkerchief and lippy."I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0 -
I didn't have a bag on my wedding day.
My little bridesmaid (aged 5) held my hankie for me in her fancy little bag & my mum held a lipstick & my engagement ring (until after the ceremony).
I found that worked well for me. Your wedding day is a bit of a whirl so I didn't want to be worrying about keeping an eye on a bag.
Best of luck for your big dayYou've got to be in it to win it!0 -
As in down the aisle? No just held a hankie then, but rest of day I just left on a table ie didn't walk round with it.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0

I had a bag but barely touched it, was such a waste in the end, bridemaids had the couple of bits I actually needed so I just borrowed their stuff!Officially Mrs B as of March 2013
TTC since Apr 2015, baby B born March 20170 -
I didn't have a bag, tbh I didn't even think of having one and I'm glad I didn't. I had nothing I needed to put in it and I wouldn't carry it! My normal handbag is the size of a small suitcase lol so I couldn't have handled a small bag. To be honest, my hair and make up lasted about 13 hours and there is so much else going on I didn't even think about needing to top anything up. As a bride you look beautiful anyway!!Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0

I have got one, but undecided if I am going to use it. If I do I will definately be asking a female relative to hold it during the ceremonyThe opposite of what you know...is also true0

Thanks for the replys guys!
The bag I've got was quite a bargain actually, only £14.50, and it's something that can be used again.
So far I've got a pack of tissues, mirror, inhaler, dental floss :rotfl: glasses and lipstick.
@Norma, the fags would have been there too if it'd been 3 years ago!0 -
Although my wedding is some time away I have decided that my younger bridesmaid (I'm having 2 adults and 1 little one who will be 6 when we get married) will probably have a little bag she can look after for me with all my bits and bobs in it. Not only does it mean she feels very special looking after the bag but if she gets fed up her Mum is one of my older bridesmaids so it will just get given to her. I'm planning on wearing my engagement ring on my right hand when we get married so it will just have lippy, tissues etc in it.Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0
