I really want a dishwasher!

I have 2 kids and another on the way and am thinking a dishwasher will make my life slightly easier. So with a bit of shifting around I have worked out a place it can get plumbed in in the kitchen. Got the plumber coming round next week.
Now all I need to do is buy a dishwasher. But which one? Where shall I get it? I want a full size one that washes dishes well. It doesn't need millions of settings or any special features. Ideally an energy efficient one. I've not got loads of money to spend. Absolutly not more than £400, ideally much less.
Any ideas anyone? I would really appreciate a bit of advice.
Thanks in advance...

You can sign up to a month's free trial (or it might cost £1, I'm not sure now!) for Which? They are pretty good, and list things like noise levels, reliability, economy etc. I think the more expensive makes usually come out better, but we have a Whirlpool that we've had for 5 years, it's been no trouble in all that time and washes beautifully.
Which recommend dishwasher tablets from Aldi - they came out better than Finish ones in their tests! I use them all the time, they are very good, we are in a hard water area too, and are cheaper than Finish too.:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
:heart2: RIP Clio 1.9.93 - 7.4.10 :heart2:I WILL be tidy, I WILL be tidy!

We have a Bosch Classixx which suits us fine. The programmes are abit long but there is a quick wash function which takes about 30 minutes.0

Our local library has back/current issues of Which (in the reference section) so it may be worth checking if they've got them at yours - but I agree, it's worth a lookAlso, check reviews for machines on Amazon and the like.
My Mum and GodMum both have the Bosch Classixx and love them. I have an Ariston and so far it's done me 5 years trouble free (although I've probably just jinxed it). However, my sis has had 2 Bekos in the last 5 years - both of which died (and were flimsy - bits dropping off/basket rollers disintegrating etc) - but she's now gone for a Bosch.
On a practical note - don't bother with a machine with loads of different programmes - I've only ever used 2 on mine (economy, and cold quick rinse) and ditto for everyone else I knowBut I so wouldn't be without it - I can't believe how much time I used to spend at the sink! BTW, as soon as you get one, start training the kids to put their own dishes in the dishwasher
