How do you work out your net worth please?

Total up all your cash and assets, chances are you are still worth more when you are dead than alive

Not quite.
Net worth = cash and assets minus debts and liabilities.
eg.
House valued at £100K, less mortgage £80 - equity £20K
Cash in savings £5K.
Total net worth is therefore £20K plus £5K ie - £25K.
But yes, most of us are worth more dead than alive:rotfl:0
