Glad you are feeling a bit better today, OP, and you were cheered up by seeing your daughter - a good reason for you to keep going.
All the best.0 -
hey glad today was not so bad. hope tomorrow is the same.
don't try and push yourself too hard. you don't have to find a new job/partner etc in a flash.
you have a roof over your head (even if you are sleeping on a sofa) and you have contact with your daughter. some people would be rejoicing at that alone.
take one day at a time and keep talking xx0 -
Can I just say I recon we would b surprised how many people we pass in the street what feel the same way, just a smile from a stranger can make a differance, I suffer from panic attacks and takes alot for me to leave the house but once I'm out I put up this fake shield just to get through the day. Big hugs to op things can only get better baby steps always think of the good things no matter how small they are!0

Of course you're feeling overwhelmed at the moment but please don't be hard on yourself. You need to take baby steps every day to try and turn yourself around.
Get up at the same time every morning, wash and dress.
Take a walk every day no matter what the weather. Being outdoors may help lighten your gloom.
You don't say where you live. Are you in a high unemployment area? If finding new employment is difficult short term, could you volunteer to work in a charity shop or something similar when you will be with other people, so won't feel so isolated?
if you are near a local library, join it and start reading some books about positive thinking and self help. They may motivate you.
A good book to borrow is "What Colour is Your Parachute?" It's a handbook for the unemployed or for those looking to change or find a new career. It asks lots of questions and there are thoughtful mental exercises for you to do which may help point you in a new direction.0
