Hi all,
Just want to know if anyone knows the position with this especially with all the price promises of the big four.
Recently noticed that some prices were wrong between SEL/product label and mysuperm@rket. Obviously some of the big four use said company when searching for their competitor price information.
It's only been a few pence so far but today I went into sainsbugs for baby food jars. According to mysuperm@rket and in line with asda and tesco; stage 3 jars should have been ten for £5 instead they were on six for £5 which is a massive difference.
So does anyone know what this mystery is all about? It certainly proves the price guarantee things can't be trusted.

MSM is a company independent from all of the supermarkets.
Although Asda do use them to calculate their price guarantees, none of the other supermarkets do so and the site is notorious for taking a day or so to update their prices after a supermarket changes deals.
If you were wanting to check a supermarket's deals before you go shopping going to their own website - sainsburys.com for instance would probably be your best bet. Also, when you were in store did your check the price at the checkout or rely on the SEL? I ask as IME sometimes SELs are not updated as soon as they could be.
It's only a game
