Hi All,
I enjoy upcycling/recycling things and making rubbish into useful stuff again. I have 20 VHS Cassettes I would like to save from landfill.
I have already used the cases as storage boxes, I would like to have ideas for recycling just the tapes only. Althought I'm grateful for everyones input I don't really want to see idea's I've already seen on google such as:

- Art (The stuff I've seen already look awful)
- Clothes/Handbags (These also look rubbish!)
- Bird scarers (because old CD's already work fine)

This is interesting so I am *bumping* the OP's thread to nudge/see what ideas and suggestions people have. I've got several hundred of the things gathering dust and want to minimise landfilling myself!
Thanks in advance
Alternatively maybe Spadge & I could consider entering the Turner art prize with some sort of recycling statement installation ?! ;-)0 -

I have used the tape to keep birds off newly seeded lawn.
Strung not too tightly across the area at about four inches above ground, it 'shimmers' in the wind, thus deterring birds.0 -
How do you turn video tapes in to clothes and handbags? They're big, inflexible, hard, non-machine washable plastic boxes! The only advantage they have over clothes made from bricks is weighing less...0

You use the tape. Its flexible waterproof and easily bonded with glue or heat.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
