Child Qenefit Query

All,

My wife and I have 2 kids upon which we recieve the statuatory child benefit.
Eldest Child - £20.30. Second Child - £13.40. = £33.70 a week.

If i times that by 52 weeks it amounts to £1752.40 a year.

Divide that by 12 months = £146.03 a month.

However we get paid £134.80 which equates to £33.70 x 4 which equates to £1617.60 a year.

Can someone explain the reason behind the difference? When we rang the helpline they just came back with the £33.70 x 4 reason.

What does everyone else with 2 kids receive?

Many thanks in advance.

Sarge
