Morrison's granary bread

Disintegrating Morrison’s (baked in-store) Granary Bread
Is this problem the fault of my local store in Maldon, Essex ? I have tried uncut, cut and freezing newly purchased. I have used this store for over 10 years because I liked the bread but something has changed, I may need to change also.

  • I hate morrisons bread, it just falls into tiny little crumbs, and has no 'spring' in it? I suspect they use the cheapest flour they can find and it certainly doesn't seem to have enough gluten in it. I have found this with their white, brown and granary. I don't live in Essex.

I have no brand loyalty and have noticed that the slices disintegrate from the top, just blow the crust on a variety of manufacturers variety of loaves in about 60% of cases.

Is there an answer out there?
The only thing that is constant is change.
  • It's the bakers in the store. I had a problem at tesco where i am with the crust on loaves with inedible. I am 23 and have perfect teeth and I couldn't get my teeth to chew through it! I emailed them and they said it will be the bakers at the store using too much oil when cooking it or cooking it for too long. They offered me a £5 gift card to apologise though.
I would suggest taking a few photos and emailing morrisons. x x
