Good Morning
Due to recent circumstances I have to move home and rent a property. I previously lived with my partner and moved in with her into a rental property, she already lived there and it was a very casual agreement arranged privately.
I now need to rent a property on my own. I am a little worried as I have a poor/mediocre credit rating. I have two credit cards (which I am paying off), an overdraft (which again, I will pay off), and a loan at £188 per month which I won't be able to pay off for around 3 months. I have a full time permanent job as a recruitment consultant and earn £20k and then commission on top.
I am looking at £500 per month on rent and my family are going to help me for the first year.
The documents I have so far are 6 months’ payslips, confirmation of my promotion at work (with salary confirmed), and credit report with highlighted areas of concern (default from 2008).
Does anyone have any advice as to any further info I can provide?
I am going to be as open as possible in regards to my credit report and commitments. I am due to get £6,000 at the end of this month (PPI reclaim) and some gift from my Father (this will pay off my CC's and OD then leave me some security in the bank). I should also be receiving £10k inheritance over the next three months of which I will settle my loan with.
Any help is much appreciated.
