Afternoon lovely people
Hmmm... I seem to have mislaid Tuesday somewhere  so apologies for the lack of update last night, I could have sworn it was Monday. OH has been off for a few days and it threw me completely...
I'll do the update tonight instead and my usual one tomorrow to make up for it.
Hope you're all enjoying the heatwave:)The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Bit of an unplanned spendy day today as Mr T sent me some money-off coupons. So, with a bit of financial juggling, I ended up doing some of next week's shopping today and am now all stocked up ready for when the resident gannet gets home from his school trip at the weekend.
Happy Wednesday everyone!One life - your life - live it!0 -

I still shudder when thinking of the Aardvark Tagine :rotfl:
I think he did find a copy of the book...but i'm not sure it was the translation he was looking for :eek:marmiterulesok wrote: »nargle it wouldn't be too bad (Igor's cooking) if he could just see that there is more to Haute Cuisine than ferret and pilchard sarnies, brussel sprouts curry and turnip whisky!
Ooh aardvark tagine....sorry,I see that he has been expanding his repetoire...
ps well done on the nsds!
hmmm...I now have the image of trying to shell an aardvark something akin to a giant prawn :eek:Out for coffee & cake again.Ooops. :rotfl:
But i'm sure you had a lovely time Beanie xx
Sorry, forgot to post yesterday, was watching Supermarket Secrets on iPlayer (I've worked in mfg too long when I find the bit about testing packaging interesting :rotfl:) but did clocked up NSD # 5 :j
No NSD here today though, popped over to the local PYO, £12 for strawberries, cherries and some rhubarb to freeze for later in the year, plus a jar of local light spring honey made from the early blossoms - the honey was £4-something so not cheap but we had some of their later honey last year and it's really good, plus I'd rather spend the extra on supporting local economy.
Strawberries have now been turned into this although i'm praying to the cookery gods (aka the Hairy Bikers :rotfl:) that it sets. I reduced the white choc to 250g so it didn't overpower the strawberries, and did use light cream cheese so I hope it hasn't c*cked it up

Had to pick up the ingreditents for that too, plus a few b'day card (from the Card F though) and essentials of bread, milk and cornettos :rotfl:
Been busy with some batch cooking, lasagne last night and beef stroganoff tonight (although the beef is a little tough - anyone know a way to tenderise is after cooking ?) Only problem now is that I have no idea how I'm going to fit any of it into the freezer :eek:

Hi All
NSD 6 todayDid spend from £2.50 but it was money in my purse left from withdrawing last Friday so for me that money was already lost. Admittedly it could have gone in the savings pot but then I would have had no dinner tonight lol I'm not keen enough to starve myself to save....yet
Tomorrow will be a spend day as I need to top up a few cupboard essentials and visit the butcher or the starving thing may become a reality lol :rotfl:Living half in debt, half in denial
