That's great news! You're doing really well. My feeling is that the absolute maximum you should consider repaying is the amount outstanding at the time you first contacted the lender to try to set up a payment plan. Every penny they piled onto the debt after that day was a deliberate attempt to exploit your financial hardship - breaking half a dozen industry guidelines in the process. If you can bargain them down lower, all the better. They know now that you're armed and ready to fight them, so if you stand your ground, they may well accept a rock-bottom offer. :)
  • WOW! I'm in shock! £22000 for a £400 loan!? That's ridiculous! Keep us updated. xxx

    £367 all together

i asked them yesterday for their payment details to pay the £33 so i have then paid the £400 i borrowed originally

they wont even supply me with their payment details they said they can only take payment by me sending my card number to them over email and they will take the payment - that is not happening so their loss just going to leave it at that now and see what FSO can do

So they have already had £377 and they want £1000 now or £1400 in instalments for a £400 loan, despite your efforts to resolve this before now. That is dreadful behaviour from them. I am so glad you have turned down their 'offer'.

Best of luck and come back here to let us know how you get on.

Keep the complaint going and do not let it drop. For them to suddenly turn round and make you an offer means they are expecting the fos to find in your favour, costing them money.

So, keep up the fight, and even write to these idiots saying you have paid back what you borrowed and will make no further payment until the ombudsmen has adjudicated on the complaint. That should put that cat amongst the pigeons!

Well done So far, you have made massive progress, now, get down on your knees and promise to the great money saving being in the sky and say you will never get involved with these scum bags, or anybody like them ever again.

    Promise?
