in batley face painter was upstairs with kids clothes. hope this helps as downstairs staff knew nowt about it! 3 of them commented on ds1's dinosaur face & asked where he had it done. they were surprised when i said upstairs!!! they were giving bags out by the escalators but no sign of any balloons.

yesturday and today my daughter has had her face painted. with a goody bag. theres is also a colouring competition up to the age of 18 years. There is also a coupon to get a free kids drink from the cafe.

You could also go to a busy bees nursery character day - it's kind of an open day for the kiddies and parents, but is advertised locally and open to everyone. Makes for a nice day out for the kids, and they're up and down the country:

In the interests of being open and honest - I do work for them, which is why I've not posted a separate thread for it at any point. Only mention it now because it may be useful to those who're on here looking for the activities raised by OP. If that's a problem, please feel free to remove.
