its about time. i keep getting bombarded with these types of texts. as well as ppi claims texts too. two or three a day.

i very rarely give my mobile number out when ever i fill in my details on anything (usually put a false number on comparison type forms) and if i do i tick the box indicating not to pass on my details to 3rd parties.

so someone has passed my details on illegally.

hopefully now i'll get some peace and quiet.

Or not. Most of the companies just call or text randomly generated numbers.

You'll still be getting them, but they just won't be social based any more.

Just levy a fine of £1000 for EACH unsolicited text message, and it would stop immediately if not sooner.
