Im brand new to comping and want to know how to tell if you have won will it be by email or phone, i have received two emails one saying i won asda voucher and the other saying i won a console and asking me to click on the thread to complete my details i just think this sounds like a scam as i would have put my details for them to be sent to

It depends.

Usually, if you win - a representitive from the company will ask you to reply. They often have the @company name.co.uk - so you know you're pretty safe. If you haven't entered your address you can be asked to send it - which I have done many times.

An asda voucher? If they are sending it then you are probably fine, if they are asking you to click the link... don't click the link! x

mainly emails but the odd phonecall - a lot just turn up - for the console check back to see if you entered the comp & if it says your name rather than dear winner (although some genuine wins say that) it may be a scam also watch out for weasel words like possible

If you get an email asking you to click a link to claim a prize then it's usually a scam

People get notified of wins by telephone or email.
And sometimes you don't get notified at all, prizes just turn up.

I thought that myself to have two wins in one day would be extremely lucky,,, thanks for all your advice will keep my fingers and toes crossed for the next time

Wins are like buses nothing for ages & then several come together
