I quite often use cheap frying steak (which I assume is the same sort of thing) cut up into strips in a tomato or creamy sauce with pasta. Would also work in fajitas.. in fact I think I might have that tonight!

Id buy ( or make!) a really nice french loaf ( BAguette, sliced along the middle eg)

Id then slice 2 onions and fry off in a dash of oil, small swig of soy sauce and a drop of balsamic vinegar - sometimes a few sliced mushrooms in here is good too

then i would heat the griddle pan or fry pan with no oil in

Slice the steak into strips and lay them in for literally a minute each side - sometimes any longer than that they go tough. do taste test leave them a little longer if they are not cooked properly.

then cram your baguettes with salad leaves ( lettuce, spinach, rocket etc) the hot onions & mushrooms, the steak.

Serve with chips ( or jacket wedges or jacket potatoe) sweetcorn cobs, coleslaw etc

    Food of the gods x
