Sainsburys Price Matching Policy

I normally use Asda or Tesco and am used to getting subs which are more expensive at the price of what I ordered .
On Sunday I ordered from Sainsbury and included 2 x 2litre bottles of Crisp 'n dry Oil at £2.50 each ( £1.25 a litre) When the order arrived the driver said one item had been subbed and he produced a single 1Litre bottle of Crisp 'n Dry . I just took at without really thinking as I needed it and said " at least I got some " ..Later I saw that this 1 Litre bottle had cost me £2
Digging around on the Sainsbury website I found their subbing policy and it is to charge the cost of the subbed item with no price match so just as well they didn't send me 4 x £2 bottles ( £2 a litre)
I did send off an email asking a few things including why they didn't do what Asda and Tesco do and got a long wearisome reply totally ignoring the points I had made basically just saying if offers had run out because of demand it was just tough and not a mention of Asda or Tesco nor why Sainsbury didnt do what they did .
Not Good Enough Sainsbury .
UPDATE
After sending a response to Sainsburys reply I got, this morning ,a further email that said this
Thanks for your response email. I am sorry that Brand Matching is not available for our online groceries customers at the moment. I can understand your disappointment, and that I did not highlight this on the previous email to you.
As you know, Brand Match is currently available in the majority of our main stores and has been positively received by customers and colleagues. Since Brand Match launched we have issued hundreds of millions of coupons and more than half our customers who receive a coupon find that their branded shop was cheaper at Sainsbury’s. As we continue to develop our Brand Match proposition, we are looking into how we could launch Brand Match for our online customers, and as soon as this is available we will let all our online customers know.
I understand your concerns that the substitutions have been a little more expensive than your own choices. When we have to make a substitution, we want to use the closest possible alternative. Our colleagues are trained to use their initiative and experience when selecting replacements. They should also check the quality of the products on the shelves and select the items with the longest sell by date, so our customers receive the best and freshest possible products.
We are working hard to make sure the products you want are always available. When products are delivered to our stores we aim to get them onto the shelves as soon as possible. This helps colleagues find the items they need to meet our online customers' orders.
While the £5 voucher is very welcome it seems that the person who replied is talking about something different . I'm talking about the price of subbed items being capped at the price of the original item where the sub is more expensive .

Just to let you know that I had a leaflet advertising Sainsburys brand match on key "Ramadan" / "Eid" items. Great, I thought - had popped into my local branch earlier thus week as I use the opportunity to stock up on large bags of nuts and made a mental note of the prices - this negated the need to shop around.
Having said that, I purposely stopped at Mr T's at Galleons reach last night to double check their prices: the bags of almonds and cashews were the same price but v slightly bigger (by 50g)and a different brand: hence brand match would not apply.
Am ashamed to admit that I spent nearly £50 on just nuts and Andrex, but don't plan to buy either again for the next 12 months!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
