If one of my family was desperate for something (a transplant or other surgery, for instance), then I might give the matter some thought. However, if such a circumstance didn't apply, then I wouldn't be doing it. I'm one of those people who can't rest easily if I've done/said something I shouldn't have, & I'd be forever scared of that knock on the door from the police ready to cart me off. Everything in my home is bought & paid for, & if the police or anyone else should come here I don't have to be scurrying around trying to hide things or being scared of what they might see/hear being said. And that's just the way I like it - you can't put a price on peace of mind. :)

Interesting question this one and I see so far only one person had actually voted in the poll...
So you're saying there would be absolutely no comeback at all and it's only your conscience to deal with?

No because even when I had paid off all my debt I would still have a £5000 debt I couldnt pay back. It would never be over.

There is no such thing as absolutely no chance of comeback if you are doing something illegal or immoral. If you have any conscience at all you will feel guilty about it for the rest of your life and I guarantee it would not be worth it.

You are just posting here to see if there is anyone else who would contemplate lowering their principles to do something wrong and I think you'll see that the answer is no. If you wanted someone to give you justification to do it then you've lucked out. Looks like you will have to be a grown up and decide for yourself whether to do right or wrong. Why don't you imagine one of your children watching you do it and then decide whether it's a good idea.

Sorry but no matter how hard up I was I would not resort to illegal or immoral means. I could never live with myself. Shame on you for contemplating it!

Right in pricipal you would not do it. Then how do you know i am going to do it ?
i have only asked this question because if you look around then there are companies going under all the time like the hampers company, the holiday firm, and then the bank recently.

No. Unless one of my children or a member of my family needed something (we're talking organs, not Playstation 3) and would suffer if they didn't have it and the money could buy it. Then morals go out the window.....

No, I would not do something that I knew was either illegal or immoral. I don't know that you're going to do it! But you are the one asking the question in the first place - I am just responding!! What do you care what I think? These are words on a screen on an anonymous chatboard...

What on earth have companies going bust got to do with obtaining money by illegal or immoral means, or by deception??! Are you contemplating starting a christmas club for next year but using the money to pay off your credit cards instead? I think Arthur Fowler beat you to it... heh heh :rotfl:
