Overpaying mortgage without penalty

Are there mortgages that allow overpayments without penalty charges? Still a few years away from buying, but I'd like to get a 25 year mortgage and over pay it quite a lot in the good times, but keep the flexibility of clearing it over 25 years of low payments if I ever hit a rough patch. As opposed to looking for a 10 year mortgage with high payments where I'd be stuck if anything happened to my job.

This would be in Scotland btw - not sure if it makes a difference?
