What is income?

Hello,
I have been told that banks and credit agencies do not count benefits and pensions as income, is this true? Also in that case, can anyone tell me whether they class a monthly guaranteed income payment as part of the armed forces compensation scheme, which is not a pension, as income? If they don't then technically I have no income at all in terms of repaying credit

I can't see why banks wouldn't class a pension as income. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
