I only ever listen to BBC R2 on TV however I seem to have lost all my BBC radio stations thro Sky. Has this service been removed? Anythoughts would be very much appreciated.

Radio Stations are still OK on Sky.

Try unplugging your Sky Box from the mains, leave it unplugged for a few minutes .. then plug it back in.

    That usually cures things.

When was it last working ? Do you use a Sky digibox to receive the radio stations ?

Sky re-organised the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) late last year so the radio channels changed their numbers from 852 (Radio 2) to 0102 (Radio 2) etc...

    Thanks

Thanks to all for your replies - this has only happened recently and probably when we were on holiday. I will try the unplugging routine. Thanks again.

Further to the above I now realise that I can receive R5 and I am miissing BBC Parliament- Whoopee! + some other TV stations. I have done all the unplugging bit without success. Have also been on to SKY who state that they have never heard of this particular problem and advised me to run an LNB setup, which has also proved unsuccessful. They then suggested that I reseat all the cabling. I am really struggling for any more ideas - not unless you know better.

It could be down to many things jd79, your dish may have moved slightly, trees may be blocking the signal, the receiver itself may have developed a fault, your LNB may have become faulty, water/moisture may have got in to the LNB/Cable joint etc.

Sorry to say, it looks like a Sky Call Out, that costs £65, unless you can get a local company cheaper.

Can you borrow a Digibox to verify that your dish/LNB are correctly aligned? Make sure you unplug everything from the mains before disconnecting / reconnecting the satellite coax connector, ensuring that it doesn't short.

Hi cledor thanks for your reply. I have two digiboxes. No1 is a Skyplus box and I have a second box in a bedroom - unfortunately both are the same i.e. missing stations. Does that answer your above thought?

It confirms that the fault is not with the box, that leaves the cable/ connectors /dish /lnb.

I suspect that your dish has moved, or trees have grown in front of it.;)

Still looks like the Sky £65 call out charge, sorry to say... ;)
