I also came across Poison Seed by James Goss on the free offers on Kindle today. Looks like a quality Egyptian murder mystery - one of the Simon Scarrow or Ben Kane fans.
The Holy City.
Ancient Egypt.
The Pharaoh Akhenaten is planning a lavish banquet.
But a poisoner is at work.
With victims ranging from a singer to a tomb carver, the most lethal assasin in the land - Lady Serpent - has to find out how the murders are being carried out and who is behind them.
And she has to find the antidote - if there is one.
Why?
Because Lady Serpent has herself been poisoned...
In a desperate race against time, she must solve the mystery of the 'Poison Seed'.
Or else die trying.
'Poison Seed' is a fast-moving, historical murder mystery that brilliantly captures the atmosphere of ancient Egypt - as well as being an enthralling detective story. It is perfect for fans of Steven Saylor, Lindsey Davies and Simon Scarrow.
'A classic murder mystery' - Robert Foster, best-selling author of 'The Lunar Code'.
